Domain Name
Domain names are registered with internet registrars.
They are mapped using DNS to record a unique IP address for the server.
Domains can be country specific e.g. myname.co.za for South Africa or myname.co.uk for Great Britain, or may use other extensions such as .net, .com, .biz or .tv.
Not for profit organizations usually use myname.org or myname.org.za domains.
.org domains are free for registered charities. A registration number must be supplied.
