CTICC Hosting International Software Event2010-05-05 09:06:00
The 32nd International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE) is currently being held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), exhibiting the country's ability to host international-scale events as well as solidifying its position as a global innovation hub.
The event is running from the 2nd to the 8th of May, providing a platform for software engineering professionals from all corners of the world to network and showcase their products, share ideas and innovations and add to the collective knowledge of the industry.
This is the first time that the event is being held on the African continent, and according to the Executive Director for Economic, Social Development and Tourism, Mansoor Mohamed, the ICSE being held in Cape Town will lead to the city becoming more competitive globally, attracting more investment and in turn leading to job creation.
Cape Town has adopted a development strategy that is aimed at creating a globally competitive city, geared towards small and medium business enterprises.
