Google Glasses for the Deaf

Google is developing a technology aimed at helping deaf people locate noise sources and convert speech to text, according to MyBroadband.

Deaf users of Google’s Google Glasses may benefit as the company makes headway in developing technology capable of displaying speech and sounds as text.

Google recently filed a patent application entitled “Displaying sound indications on a wearable computing system”, although according to MyBroadband there is no known current demonstration for the system.
